I graduated from Boyd County High School in June of 1995, Moreahead State University in May of 1999 with a BS in Biology, and graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry on May 10th, 2003. I received my license to practice optometry in Kentucky on June 28th, 2003. At that time I started working at Dr. Robert C. Webb’s practice in Grayson, Kentucky. On November 10th, I purchased Dr. Webb’s practice. I have been working at McCloud Eye Care Center from 11/10/03-present. I became ABO board certified in 2016, the only board certified optometrist in Grayson. We moved to new office at 205 E Main Street in Grayson, KY on October 18, 2018. The new facility has 3 times the space and exam rooms. Dr. McCloud has served on numerous professional boards. Currently he is on the board at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, the Carter County Health Board Relay for Life of Carter County Board and a member of Kiwanis Club. Previous boards include Kentucky Optometric Association 2014-2018; Morehead State University Alumni Board 2005-2009.
Dr. McCloud married his wife, Tara in 2006. They have one daughter, Paxton and two sons Parker and Palmer. He enjoys vacationing with his family, skiing and water sports.
